Trained volunteers answer the Sarah's Inn 24-hour crisis line on weeknights and weekends. Crisis Line Volunteers support callers who have been impacted by domestic violence in making a safety plan, exploring options, and connecting them to services at Sarah’s Inn.*
On the last Wednesday and Thursday night of every month during support groups, volunteers provide cooked or catered meals for families impacted by domestic violence through our Meal Makers Program. This program is a chance for clients to eat nutritious meals, while also providing clients participating in groups, the opportunity to connect with one another in a safe and caring environment.

Trained volunteers answer the Crisis Line, greet clients and visitors, and provide childcare (when needed) during their shift.*
Volunteers watch young children while their parents attend support groups.*

Volunteers assist with a variety of tasks to assist with the behind the scenes operations of Sarah's Inn, including donation inventory, translating documents, or assisting in the office.
Businesses, community groups, book clubs, or teams can support Sarah's Inn through collection drives, preparing a meal for a support group, assisting with donation inventory, cleaning up and planting in the Sarah's Inn garden, or assisting Sarah's Inn during Domestic Violence Action Month.

*All direct service volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and pass a background check. They are also required to complete the 40-hour domestic violence training.
